I believe you wanted screenshots of Fake Vector. How about this one or this one? Also, the latest, niftiest version is at User:Llwy-ar-lawr/fakevector2.css. ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr talkcontribs • 06:17 16 June 2018

Thanks very much Llwy. I will test this with RomartusBot. Thanks again for all your work here. :) --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 12:39, June 16, 2018 (UTC)

Loyal, hah. I am loyal to no one but myself. But seriously -- this looks pretty good to me. I might note that clearing your cache often doesn't work right away for this stuff because apparently it's something on the server side that has to refresh. I worry someone could get discouraged by that. Other than that, coolness. Looks like other people have successfully followed these instructions already. I'd have gotten back to you earlier but we were busy going on vacation to somewhere with no wifi network (I'm borrowing somebody else's). By the way, any reason this isn't in project space? ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr talkcontribs • 19:16 12 August 2018

Three (count them, !!3!!) choices[edit]

Writing your own skin? Just use one of ours!

And in fact they all work, right now, today, straight out of the box! No need to wait, nor even to write your own, you can use a boring skin straight from Mediawiki!

Vector, Monobook, and some other weird skin all come with the package. You can find them hidden somewhere in your Preferences (at least, you can if you're logged in). -- Snarglefoop (talk) 23:01, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

A thousand thanks! I will revise Skin Choice. --Nigel Scribbler sig2.png (talk) 23:05, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
So now all that's missing is mw:Extension:MobileFrontend and its mw:Skin:Minerva Neue? carlb (talk) 14:20, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
That's it. More mobile compatibility will solve our problems. Kevin (talk) 20:08, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
Exactly! There's even a song about it: Going Mobile! -- Snarglefoop (talk) 20:41, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
MobileFrontend is on my to-do list of extensions, along with EasyTimeline, TimedMediaHandler, AntiSpoof and VisualEditor. I picked the ones we already have because they looked easier or were really important. ParserFunctions came first. Without that, the site looks much worse than just without DPL. ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr talkcontribs • 21:45 15 May 2019
MobileFrontend is here. So are Cologne Blue and Modern. We now have the same set of skins as Wikipedia. ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr talkcontribs • 01:41 27 May 2019
